Our Approach
Parker Home Care, operated by Biosca Inc ("Parker," "we," "us"), keeps the details of members' homes: addresses, access notes, schedules, photographs, and the history of work done. The safeguards below apply to the Parker website, the member portal, and the Parker app for iPhone.
This page describes those safeguards in general terms. Details that would help someone get around them are deliberately left out.
The Field-Team Firewall
The people who come to your door see only what the visit requires. This separation is built into the system: the screens field personnel use are fed by a restricted view of each job, not by your account.
- Before a job is accepted: the offer shows your first name, the property address, the work to be done, and the scheduled time.
- Once a specialist is assigned: they also see your full name, so they can greet you at the door.
- Never: your phone number, your email address, your payment details, or the price you pay Parker.
Field personnel cannot message you directly. They can send only a fixed set of status updates, such as on the way, arrived, or work complete, and anything you write back comes to Parker.
Encryption
Every connection to the website, the portal, and the app is encrypted in transit with HTTPS (TLS). Parker's database and file storage are hosted by Supabase in the United States and are encrypted at rest by the provider.
Sign-In
Parker does not use passwords. Members sign in with Google or Apple, so there is no Parker password to be guessed, reused, or leaked, and the protections on your Google or Apple account, including two-step verification, apply to your Parker account as well.
If you turn on Face ID unlock in the Parker app, the check is performed by your iPhone. Parker never receives your face data and learns only whether the check succeeded.
Who Can See What
Access to member information is enforced in the database itself, not only in the screens that display it. A member's account can read that member's own records and no one else's. A field account can read only the jobs offered or assigned to it, through the restricted view described above.
Inside Parker, access to member records is limited to the people who run your service.
Payments
Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page or Stripe's payment sheet in the app, and go directly to Stripe. Stripe is certified to the payment card industry's highest security standard (PCI DSS Level 1). Parker never sees or stores a full card number.
Service Providers
Parker relies on a small number of established providers, each of which receives only the information its role requires:
- Supabase: database, sign-in, and file storage, in the United States
- Vercel: website hosting
- Stripe: payments
- Resend: email
- Twilio: text messages
- Anthropic: help wording estimates and service descriptions; prices are always set by Parker
- Apple and Google: sign-in and notifications
The complete list, and what each provider receives, is in the Privacy Policy, Section 3.2.
If Something Goes Wrong
If personal information is ever accessed without authorization, Parker will notify affected members as Florida law requires, no later than 30 days after determining that a breach occurred (Florida Information Protection Act, § 501.171). The notice will say what happened, what information was involved, and how to reach us.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time: in the Parker app under Profile, or in the member portal under Account. Deletion removes your name, email address, phone number, and sign-in right away. Records of work performed at a property are kept without your name attached, as described in the Privacy Policy, Section 4.
Your Part
A few habits keep your account as safe as the system behind it:
- Keep the Google or Apple account you sign in with secure, with two-step verification turned on.
- Keep a passcode or Face ID on the phone you use for the Parker app.
- Do not share access to your account.
- Parker will never ask you for a sign-in code. If a message claiming to be from Parker asks for one, do not share it, and tell us.
Reporting a Security Concern
If you believe you have found a security weakness in the Parker website, portal, or app, write to hello@parker-care.com with what you found and how to reproduce it. We will acknowledge the report and keep you informed.
Please do not access other people's information, disrupt the service, or make the issue public before Parker has had a reasonable opportunity to correct it.
